![]() ![]() Elohai Neshamah ("My God, the soul…") thanks God for restoring man's soul to him each morning when he wakes up. Like al netilat yadayim, the worshiper says this blessing privately before the start of the service. Asher yatzar (literally "who fashioned") is a blessing that praises God for creating the body and for preserving man's health and life. The next blessings thank God for creating man's body and soul. The prayer leader does not say this blessing out loud. The proper time to say this blessing is after washing the hands and dressing in the morning, but many people say it at the start of the morning prayers. It is a mitzvah to wash one's hands in the morning, both for hygienic and symbolic reasons: the cleansing represents the removal of spiritual impurity. The first blessing ( al netilat yadayim) relates to washing the hands. It is customary to stand while reciting the preliminary blessings. ![]() Because the order of the preliminary prayers was never fixed in Jewish law, it differs not only between Ashkenazim and Sephardim, but even between different prayer books of the same liturgy. ![]() Even today, some people continue to say the morning blessings either at home or privately at the synagogue. But gradually, as people became less knowledgeable about the blessings, they began to be included in the synagogue service so that the cantor could recite them out loud for those who were not able to recite them on their own. These blessings, which address many aspects of Jewish life, were originally said in the home, not in the synagogue. The morning prayers start with a series of blessings that center around the routine of waking up in the morning. Jewish Prayers: Table of Contents| Torah Reading| Shema ![]()

![]() ![]() My father ended up driving semi-trucks across the country, while my mother got a job in accounting and moved us to our grandmother’s house. My mother and father fell on hard times after they left the Marines. She slept with us in the back seat of a 1980s white Oldsmobile to keep us warm at night. I remember being on a two-week car trip, which was fun in my eyes, but we never knew our mom was really trying to figure out how to get us into a home. The crazy thing about it all is that my brother and I never knew we were homeless. I’m living in a moment where I can look back to the days of being homeless and not knowing where my next meal would come from. An early photo of Edwin and Aldis Hodge with their father. Our relationship is stronger than ever now. I learned about the true idea of forgiving at a young age. Our communication wasn’t really there for many years, but I loved him just the same. He and my mother divorced when I was eight. He got caught up in the drug game for a moment and my mom wasn’t having it. My father, Aldis Sr., wasn’t around much in the beginning. The children of two Marines, we came from a broken home and it was only the will of my mother which led our family to the success we enjoy now. It’s something my mother, Yolette Hodge, would reiterate to my brother, Aldis Hodge, and I since we started our careers in New York City. Note that SA asks for you to stay a year, but can't enforce it.New York Medical Scribe Course Description If you really want a higher wage than what ScribeAmerica provides and have nowhere else to go, you can always apply to work at SA for a few months, then move on to a new scribing company with better pay after you gain experience. Long story short, it won't hurt to ask for a higher wage, but I doubt they'll provide one. Scribing isn't really meant to be a sustainable job, it's more of a stepping stone for people looking to go into more advanced jobs in the medical field. On the other hand, more private companies or specialties like clinics often tend to pay a lot more, but they usually ask or recommend for at least some experience. On the bright side, they will take practically anyone, because we're so short staff. Aside from trainers and chief scribes, which are paid more, that's pretty much the flat rate for all of my coworkers. For example, ScribeAmerica at my location is $11/hour, and raises to 11.50/hour after 90 days from your first solo shift. Big companies such as ScribeAmerica, Aquity, etc., tend to have set rates, which will raise over time. Been working with them for the past 4-6 months now, and all of the other scribes that I've worked with (some have graduated from college and are going into med school) are being paid roughly the same amount as me, and I'm still in college. I honestly highly doubt that ScribeAmerica will pay based off of whether or not you have a BS. ![]() ![]() Like the VQ-VAE, we have three levels of priors: a top-level prior that generates the most compressed codes, and two upsampling priors that generate less compressed codes conditioned on above. Next, we train the prior models whose goal is to learn the distribution of music codes encoded by VQ-VAE and to generate music in this compressed discrete space. However, it retains essential information about the pitch, timbre, and volume of the audio. This downsampling loses much of the audio detail, and sounds noticeably noisy as we go further down the levels. We use three levels in our VQ-VAE, shown below, which compress the 44kHz raw audio by 8x, 32x, and 128x, respectively, with a codebook size of 2048 for each level. To allow the model to reconstruct higher frequencies easily, we add a spectral loss that penalizes the norm of the difference of input and reconstructed spectrograms. To maximize the use of the upper levels, we use separate decoders and independently reconstruct the input from the codes of each level. To alleviate codebook collapse common to VQ-VAE models, we use random restarts where we randomly reset a codebook vector to one of the encoded hidden states whenever its usage falls below a threshold. We draw inspiration from VQ-VAE-2 and apply their approach to music. A simplified variant called VQ-VAE-2 avoids these issues by using feedforward encoders and decoders only, and they show impressive results at generating high-fidelity images. Hierarchical VQ-VAEs can generate short instrumental pieces from a few sets of instruments, however they suffer from hierarchy collapse due to use of successive encoders coupled with autoregressive decoders. Jukebox’s autoencoder model compresses audio to a discrete space, using a quantization-based approach called VQ-VAE. Now in raw audio, our models must learn to tackle high diversity as well as very long range structure, and the raw audio domain is particularly unforgiving of errors in short, medium, or long term timing. Our previous work on MuseNet explored synthesizing music based on large amounts of MIDI data. We chose to work on music because we want to continue to push the boundaries of generative models. We can then train a model to generate audio in this compressed space, and upsample back to the raw audio space. One way of addressing the long input problem is to use an autoencoder that compresses raw audio to a lower-dimensional space by discarding some of the perceptually irrelevant bits of information. Thus, to learn the high level semantics of music, a model would have to deal with extremely long-range dependencies. For comparison, GPT-2 had 1,000 timesteps and OpenAI Five took tens of thousands of timesteps per game. A typical 4-minute song at CD quality (44 kHz, 16-bit) has over 10 million timesteps. Generating music at the audio level is challenging since the sequences are very long. A different approach is to model music directly as raw audio. īut symbolic generators have limitations-they cannot capture human voices or many of the more subtle timbres, dynamics, and expressivity that are essential to music. This has led to impressive results like producing Bach chorals, polyphonic music with multiple instruments, as well as minute long musical pieces. A prominent approach is to generate music symbolically in the form of a piano roll, which specifies the timing, pitch, velocity, and instrument of each note to be played. Automatic music generation dates back to more than half a century. ![]() ![]() ![]() In the process of rescuing her, Fujita unintentionally tore Ebisu's face off to release her from Kaiman's mouth. How Do I Know My Transmission Is Slipping? In most cases, this is generally caused by low-level fluid in automatic transmission vehicles and a worn-out clutch in manual transmission vehicles. It usually means that the power produced by the engine does not get to the wheels. Transmission slipping typically occurs when your vehicle’s engine revs, but there is no acceleration during driving. In a manual transmission car, the concern is obvious a slipping transmission is almost always due to a worn-out clutch. Automatic transmission slipping could be due to several solvable reasons.
